Empowerment Weekend at Zion Baptist Church of Philadelphia.

Highlights included five socially relevant panel discussions on Minority Health, Minority Incarceration and the Prison Industrial Complex, Intimate Partner Violence: Breaking the Silence , Public Educational Justice and Economic Empowerment.

Other highlights of Empowerment Weekend included electrifying keynote speeches by Marc Morial, President of the National Urban League and Marc Lamont Hill, Ph.D., syndicated TV One TV Host of Our World With Black Enterprise.

In addition to five socially relevant panel discussions and two informative and electrifying keynote speeches, there was a celebrative Gospel Fest and seven Leon H. Sullivan Center Hope Awards Presentations by President Prince to President Marc Morial and others.

Sullivan Center Hope Award

Recently, the Sullivan Center Hope Award was presented to recipients for their indefatigable excellence in leadership and for inspiring hope for humanity. The Hope Award was created to inspire hope among humanity as the late Rev. Dr. Leon H. Sullivan indefatigably labored to provide hope in a world abounding in urban hopelessness.
